塩化物泉ホテル瑞鳳
本来は文章を書く予定はなかったのですが、とある事情によって文章が必要となったので、投稿から数ヶ月経過しているのですが、年末ということで1年を振り返るという意味合いも込めて、キーボードを叩いていこうと思います。
え？ どんな事情だって？ そりゃGoogleアドセンスの審査が通らないってことですよ。(文字数が圧倒的に足りていない)
東北名湯ちゃんねる 記念すべき1発目の動画として選んだのは、
「ホテル瑞鳳」さんですね。動画でも触れていますが豪華絢爛という言葉が似合う高級ホテルです。
私が宿泊したのは、GO TO トラベルの時で、めちゃくちゃ安かった記憶があったので、じゃらんの過去予約を見たら「2人で9,850円」というヤベェ価格でした。
洋室・夕食朝食バイキング付き。そこに地域クーポン。神かな？
東北では、そこそこバイキングのあるホテル(高級宿)は結構行きましたが、今のところホテル瑞鳳を上回るホテルには出逢ってないので、夕食バイキングは私の中で暫定1位。
そもそも、「秋保温泉は死にかけの温泉」なんですよ。
源泉枯渇は「成分がすっかすかになる」という前兆が出るのですが、秋保温泉の源泉も10年前に比べて、驚くほど源泉の成分量が激減しています。
宮城県は温泉の適正利用しようと、昭和50年に「宮城県温泉保護対策要綱」を策定し、仙台だと「広瀬川温泉」「作並温泉」「定義温泉」「赤生木温泉」「鳴合温泉」が対象となっていました。
…………あれ？ 秋保温泉は？
そう。秋保温泉、県の温泉保護の対象外だったんです。
秋保温泉は歴史ある温泉なので昭和50年でも栄えていた筈ですが、何故か対象外でした。対象外の理由は存じませんが。
で、平成19年に「宮城県温泉資源管理基本計画」という、まぁ、保護対策要綱と同じような内容で「資源を適切に管理しようという計画」が策定。
その際、秋保温泉を調査したら、まぁビックリ。
古くからの源泉で著しい衰退が見られ、新たな温泉の開発量も限界に近付いているとの結果に。

実際、約10年前の成分表を見ると、成分豊富な源泉だったのに今では単純温泉にギリギリ当てはまる、という源泉もあります。
昔は有馬温泉にも負けない濃い温泉、という話も聞きますが、今ではありふれた温泉になってしまったなぁ、という印象はぬぐい切れません。
その中でもホテル瑞鳳が利用している源泉は、成分表の通りだとすれば、成分量が多く、まだまだ元気な源泉という印象ですね。
とはいえ、上記の通り、枯渇の可能性、ということもあり、
ホテル瑞鳳を含む、秋保の多くの温泉は自然・環境保護という名目で「加水」による水増しを行っている場所も多いのが実情です。
個人的にはホテル瑞鳳は特に加水・循環が多い印象です。これだけ塩化物が多ければしょっぱいのですが、殆ど塩味を感じません。(温泉を舐めるのは危険ですのでやめましょう)
ついでに時間帯にもよりますが、塩素臭を強く感じる時もありますね。
といった具合で、正直なところホテル瑞鳳の源泉は非常に優れているにも関わらず、浴槽の温泉は結構ガッカリ感があります。
しかし、ホテル瑞鳳の本質は「浴室」です。
巨大な内湯、こだわりが詰まった露天風呂。
２つの浴室は趣が異なっており、宿泊者としては入れ替え制によって1粒で2度おいしい浴室です。
動画でも解説しましたが、美味しいごはんを食べて。
開放感のある温泉で癒され。
満足の中、眠る。
この一連の流れが「ホテルの価値」であり、ホテル瑞鳳の温泉は「ホテルの価値」としては十二分すぎる造りとなっているでしょう。
逆に、日帰り入浴という「ホテルの一部」を切り抜いた方法だと、満足感はあまり得られないでしょう。端的に換言すると「宿泊」か「日帰り」かで評価が劇的に変化する温泉です。
日帰り入浴できる温泉紹介動画として、完全にチョイスを間違えた感は否めない。
