天童温泉天童ホテル
山形県天童市！
何故か毎回「天童市」というワードがスッと出ず、「なんだっけ、東根じゃなくて、えーと……」と悩みます。天童よしみで思い出します。 なんで？
そんな天童市は「温泉と将棋の駒の里」とも呼ばれ、とにかく将棋駒のデザインがあちらこちらに見受けられます。町全体で一つのモチーフをしっかりとアピールするのは観光面から見ても楽しめるし、記憶に残るのでいいですよね！
他の地域だと、鳴子温泉が「こけし」とかでイメージ作りしていますね。
私は幼少期に神棚に供えていたこけしが急に落下し、思いっきり顔面に激突＆流血し、顔に消えないキズが残ったので、こけし嫌いですが。
文字通り、子を消そうとしたのかもしれません。呪いのアイテムかよ。
天童ホテル、という名だけあり、天童の中でも大型のホテルです。
浴室なんかも大浴場と言える造りとなっており、100名くらいは一度に入浴できるスケールです。(100名が快適に入浴できるとは言っていない)
日帰り入浴に訪れた際にフロントマンの対応が、浴場への案内も口頭だけではなく、実際に「では、ご案内致します！」「こちらの階段を下りた先になります」と丁寧に案内して頂けたことが好印象です。
過剰なサービスは求めてはいませんが、やっぱり丁寧に案内してもらえるのは気分がいいですよね☆
泉質は「硫酸塩泉」で、キシキシ感といいますが、引っかかりを感じるお湯です。
これは天童温泉の湯の特徴で、苦手な人もいるだろうなぁ、という泉質ですが、まぁ、殆どの人はそこまで感じるほど敏感ではない気もします。長風呂や温泉をハシゴしている人が感じやすくなる、という感じですかね。
基本的に天童ホテルという「地名」＋「ホテル」を冠する名前だけあって、満足度が高い温泉ではあるのですが、ガッカリポイントは2つあります。
1つは露天風呂の「滝」が日帰り入浴時間は停止になることですね。
知らずに訪れた際は、露天風呂からの光景に「これは、どういう光景なんだ？」と混乱しました。
だって、湯船の先に。岸壁と謎に広がったコンクリの床ですよ？ 工事現場とか、造りかけにしか見えないんですよｗ
そして、2つ目が、ガチで駐車場が分からないことです。
これはホテル前に一度停車して、フロントで直接聞いた方がいいです。
「天童ホテル第3駐車場」が恐らく最寄りです。第1と第2は見つけられませんでした。
ガストの横ですね。
駐車場からやや歩く必要があるので、忘れ物と施錠には充分気を付けてくださいな。
